Dr. Stephen H. Gamerman is a 1982 graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Gamerman is a licensed general dentist in the state of Maryland and a member of the American Dental Association and Maryland State Dental Society. Since graduation, the doctor has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education courses devoted to the study of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD).
For the last 31 years, his practice has been limited to the diagnosis and non-invasive treatment of traumatically induced Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), myofascial pain and the related post-traumatic headaches.
Dr. Gamerman believes in the team approach to treating temporomandibular disorders and works closely with physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, physiatrists, neurologists, ENT‘s, and oral surgeons.
The doctor has considerable experience performing independent medical evaluations, disability ratings and peer reviews. He has appeared as an expert witness in Maryland District, Circuit and Federal District courts regarding motor vehicle accidents (MVA’s) involving direct trauma to the head and face, whiplash injuries, and automobile airbag deployment trauma.
Dr. Gamerman has lectured on Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) at Sinai Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, University Hospital, Essex and Anne Arundel Community Colleges Physicians’ Assistants programs and has presented Grand Rounds at Maryland General Hospital.
Payment methods include various insurance plans, PIP assignment from motor vehicle accidents (MVA’s), workers compensation insurance, attorney liens and structured patient payment plans.
Consultation and treatment are available by appointment at both Baltimore and Laurel locations from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as various satellite locations by previous arrangement.
